What was happening

Raised $200k seed, need a product for the first customers — yesterday. No engineering team.

Founder closed a $200k pre-seed round. He had an idea, a deck and 15 potential customers from a waitlist.

No engineering team and no time to assemble one. Every week of delay broke promises to investors and bled the waitlist.

Build budget capped at $15k. Beyond that, customer cash flow or the next round had to pay.

What we did

Full-stack MVP: auth, dashboard, billing, API. Launched in 18 days, first paying customer on day 27.

  1. 01

Built a clickable Figma prototype in 2 days. Founder showed 5 customers — 3 confirmed they'd pay.

  2. 02

Then parallel tracks: design (1), backend (2), frontend (1). 20-minute daily syncs.

  3. 03

Base stack: Next.js + Postgres + Stripe + AWS. No Heroku-style magic, everything under the founder's control.

  4. 04

Day 18 — live production with auth, billing, dashboard and REST API. Day 21 — public launch.
